Summer Village: About Long-Sought-For Pond

Even in a state known for its beautiful lakes, ponds, streams and ocean, Long-Sought-For Pond stands out as a true gem. A wide, sandy beach and clean, spring-fed water has made it a favorite with area residents who are in the know about one of Westford’s best-kept secrets.

The pond covers 105 acres and is more than 30 feet deep at its center. The shoreline along the Summer Village beach gradually descends to 5 feet deep, providing the perfect place for wading and swimming.

The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife stocks the pond with trout in the spring and fall, so don’t forget your fishing rod!
