Take a few turns off of major Boston-area highways, and you’re at Summer Village. The scent of pine, the lap of the pond water, children’s laughter and the thwack of a tennis ball tell you you’re here. It’s time to relax.

Summer Village at the Pond feels so far from the hustle and bustle of daily life that it’s easy to forget that you are still within the Boston Metropolitan Area. Catch a Broadway show, take in a Red Sox game, visit museums, shop, or even commute to work in Boston in 40 minutes by car. If you prefer to leave your car behind, it’s easy to catch a train into the city from nearby Lowell.

Lowell offers urban amenities just 15 minutes from Summer Village. The Lowell National Historic Park is a favorite tourist destination and home for many summer concerts and activities. A wide variety of cultural and sporting events are held in the Lowell Auditorium, Paul Tsongas Arena and the area’s colleges and universities. Summer nights are a perfect time to cheer on the Lowell Spinners, a single A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

If shopping is your passion, you’ll love Summer Village’s proximity to the Burlington Mall and The Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, New Hampshire. Smaller shops and antique stores are sprinkled throughout the downtown areas in Westford and nearby towns.

Summer Village at the Pond offers so many outdoor activities that you may find it hard to tear yourself away. However, a summer wouldn’t be complete without a quick trip to the seashore. You can zip to Salisbury Beach in Massachusetts or Hampton Beach in New Hampshire in just 45 minutes. Other New Hampshire and Maine beaches are just a little farther away.
